Gentle Energy Healing for Children Who Feel Deeply
Why Reiki?
Not all children express themselves in words, and that’s okay. Reiki is a quiet, nurturing practice that allows kids to process feelings and energy in a way that feels natural to them—without pressure to explain or talk.
Parents of autistic, highly sensitive, or introverted children can find Reiki to be a valuable tool for emotional regulation, stress relief, and nervous system support. Reiki can also help children healing from surgery or those on their road to wellness when diagnosed with cancer.
Who This Is For
Reiki may be a great fit if your child:
Is autistic, highly sensitive, or absorbs emotions deeply
Is healing from surgery or is on their road to wellness when diagnosed with cancer
Feels easily overstimulated, anxious, or overwhelmed
Struggles with sleep or emotional regulation
Avoids talking about feelings or themselves
Reiki may not be the right fit if you’re looking for a fix for acute or immediate needs, a medical diagnosis, or a substitute for psychotherapy. However, it can supplement other support systems.
Hi, I’m Theresa,
a certified Reiki practitioner in the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage, a child psychologist, and a former kindergarten teacher. I’m highly sensitive myself and have always felt more comfortable in gentle, quiet spaces.
I don’t feel the need to talk all the time, and that’s one of the many reasons I feel called to work with children who also appreciate calm, nonverbal environments. For me, Reiki offers a unique space where healing doesn’t require words—just presence, attunement, and compassion.
